We have been informed that an employee at Ren's Pets Ancaster (821 Golf Links Road, Ancaster) has tested positive for COVID-19. The last shift worked in-store by the employee was Monday, December 20. The Ancaster store is currently closed and the employee is self-isolating at home - we wish them well. Telehealth has been contacted and this notice is being share out of caution and concern for our customers.

Ren’s Pets has taken several measures to keep employees and customers safe during the pandemic, including regular cleaning/sanitizing, mandatory face coverings, and in store physical distancing.

All of our Ontario stores are now open for in-store shopping. We are only able to open up to 15% capacity and masks and social distancing will still be required in all stores. We have also revised our store hours so be sure to check our website before heading to store. Curbside pickup, ship to home and Autoship are also all still available and orders can be placed on our website. Our Maritimes locations remain open for in-store shopping.

All of our Ontario stores are closed for in-store shopping. Curbside pickup is available and orders can be placed on our website. Our Maritimes locations remain open for in-store shopping but masks, social distancing and capacity restrictions are in place to keep staff and customers safe.

March 8, 2021

Our Downsview, Heartland and Scarborough store are now open for in-store shopping. Masks, social distancing and capacity restrictions are in place to ensure our staff and customers are kept safe.

February 22, 2021

Our Aurora and Woodbridge stores are now open for in-store shopping. We still have a few stores that are not open for in-store shopping - please see our store locations page for more details.


February 15, 2021

In accordance with the Ontario Government, most of our stores in the province will be open for shopping as of February 16, 2021. Masks and social distancing are still in effect and new capacity limits are also being enforced to keep all of our customers safe. Some stores will remain closed for another week in following with Ontario's reopening plan. Those stores that are staying closed are Aurora, Downsview, Heartland, Scarborough and Woodbridge. We will post updates here and on social media once these stores have opened.

Ren's Belleville and Kingston will be open for in-store shopping as of February 10, 2021. Please use online orders or curbside pickup at other Ontario stores. Our Maritimes locations are all open.


January 15, 2021

A reminder to our valued customers. Ren's Pets is open for Click and Collect, by placing your orders online at renspets.com. You can pick up your order curbside at your local store, or have it shipped directly to your home. 

As per government regulations, we cannot accept walk up orders or walk up returns at this time. Please place all orders on our website or over the phone, and call the store to process any returns. 


December 22, 2020

Due to the Ontario-wide lockdown, Ren’s will be closed to in-store shopping starting December 26, 2020 until January 22, 2021 (subject to change based on government regulations). Customers can use click n collect to place their order online, and pick up curbside at store or have their order shipped directly to home. Ren’s in the Maritimes will continue to be open.

We understand the importance of shopping for your pets during this time, and will continue to take safety precautions to support everyone’s well-being during COVID-19.

We have been informed that an employee at Ren’s Pets Waterloo (3 The Boardwalk #400, Waterloo) has tested positive for COVID-19. The last shift worked in-store by the employee was Monday, November 30, 2020. The employee is self-isolating at home and we wish them well.

Telehealth has been contacted, but Public Health has not provided any directions at this time. This notice is being shared out of caution and concern for our customers. The store will undergo deep cleaning and thorough sanitization.

As an essential retailer, we originally thought we could stay open in the Toronto & Peel Regions, but we’re being asked to close for in-store shopping. This affects our Downsview, Scarborough, & Heartland stores only. Customers can place their orders online, and pick them up curbside at those locations.

We understand the importance of shopping for your pets during this time, and will continue to take safety precautions to support everyone’s well-being during COVID-19. If the situation changes, we will let our customers know.

We have been informed that an employee at Ren’s Pets Downsview (81 Billy Bishop Way, North York) has tested positive for COVID-19. The last shift worked in-store by the employee was Saturday, October 10, 2020. The employee is self-isolating at home and we wish them well.

Telehealth has been contacted, but Public Health has not provided any directions at this time. This notice is being shared out of caution and concern for our customers. The store will be closed on Saturday, October 17 for deep cleaning and thorough sanitization.

Ren’s Pets is committed to the health and safety of our customers, team members, and communities. We are taking several safety precautions to support their well-being during COVID-19.

This includes reduced occupancy levels in store, physical distancing, enhanced cleaning & sanitizing, mandatory masks, and offering curbside pick up.

We understand the importance of being able to shop for your pets during this time. We are working closely with our vendors to ensure a steady supply of inventory, and with our shipping partners to ensure on-time online purchase delivery. Unfortunately, some shortages and delays may occur.

We will continue to follow precautions in accordance with municipal by-laws and Public Health, to keep everyone safe.
