Ren's Pets Donates $50,000 to Support Ukraine
[Guelph, ON, March 14, 2022] – Canadian specialty pet retailer Ren’s Pets announced they are making a donation to support those affected by the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
“We wanted to help and show our support for those impacted by the conflict in Ukraine,” said Ren’s Pets CEO Scott Arsenault. “This includes both the people and the pets in that country. We are donating $50,000 from Ren’s Pets to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. Our hearts go out to the people affected by this crisis.”
“There are also a lot of fundraising activities happening in-store, to try to raise additional donations,” continues Arsenault. “Our stores are running draws for pet gift baskets and collecting donations at the tills from customers who would also like to show their support. All donations from these efforts will go to Animal Food Bank to distribute to pet organizations in Ukraine, to help support the pets. We’ve collected over $3000 in store to date, and our efforts will continue.”
Ren’s Pets is owned by the Legault Group, who also owns Quebec specialty retailer Mondou pet stores. Mondou will be making a donation of $100,000 to Red Cross Canada to support Ukraine. This totals a $150,000 donation plus local store efforts, from the Legault Group family of brands towards both humanitarian and pet relief efforts.

There are also in store efforts occurring as well, like at Ren’s Pets in Milton where customers can win a pet gift basket by contributing a donation towards supporting pets in Ukraine.
