Taking a trip, even just a short day trip with your pet, can help strengthen the bond you have with your pet as well as create memories that last a lifetime. Before you go and have an awesome adventure, check out this list of products and tips that will ensure your pet will stay happy and safe.

Car Safety - Harness & Tethers

Where does your dog normally sit while you drive? Many experts agree the safest place for a dog is in the back seat. If your dog often sits with you in the front seat, consider moving them to the back. If the front air-bag deploys it could cause serious injury to your dog. If your dog already sits in the back seat but is constantly moving around and will not sit still, safety harnesses are a great way to safely keep your dog in their seat.

Safer than Seats - Crates & Carriers

One of the safest ways to travel with your dog and cat is with them inside of a crate or carrier as they cannot roam around the car. Being in a crate can also aid in reducing travel anxiety and motion sickness.

Stay in your Seat - Barriers & Booster Seats

It is natural for your dog to want to be near you, however, having them invite themselves up to the front of the car, can not only be distracting but also dangerous. Car barriers ensure your pet cannot push their way into the front seat, and booster seats help small dogs stay in their seat while being able to look out the window.

Protect Your Seats - Car Sheets

If you have spent any time with a dog or cat you know that regardless of how much you groom them fur still gets everywhere. Well you can protect your car seats with PawPad covers. With these covers you will no longer have to worry about excess fur, mud, drool, or other accidents that can occur when your dog is in the back seat. When the cover is dirty, you can simply toss it in the washing machine.

Stay Hydrated - Water Bottles and Bowls

It is very easy for a pet to become dehydrated especially if they are going to be taking a long trip in the car. On the go water bottles and collapsible bowls are an easy and convenient way to ensure your pet stays hydrated.

Don’t Forget the Clean Up - Poop Bags, Litter, & Scoopers

Of course if you are taking a trip with your pet you cannot forget about bathroom breaks!
