Reducing Firework Stress For You And Your Pet!

Holidays are often great times to get together with family & friends, to enjoy good food and fireworks! Fireworks may be beautiful and exciting to us as humans, but for our pets, these fireworks can create anxiety and fear! Can you blame them?

1)   Keep your pet home during the fireworks! On paper, fireworks seem like the perfect outing for you and your pet, when actually, it is not. Displays are often hosted outside, at a park, which on any other day, could be your pet's favourite place. Don’t risk it, tell your pet all about it when you get home instead!

2)   Keep your windows closed, blinds drawn, and the radio on to drown out the noise and lights. If your pet is at home and comfortable, and they cannot hear what is happening they are less likely to panic!
