President’s Blog: Licensing Partnerships

As a member of the Ren’s Pets team, I take pride in the dedication that this company shows day in and day out to helping pets live their best lives. We’re committed to offering high-quality products and unmatched service to create happy and healthy pets. While we’re proud of this, we know we couldn’t do it without all of the responsible pet owners who work so hard to keep all of our furry companions happy and healthy. 

Responsible pet ownership is crucial to keeping pets safe and healthy, and annual pet licensing plays an important role in that. As pet parents, we don’t even want to imagine our beloved companions getting lost, but a pet license can keep them protected and help them find their way home. I’m proud to say that we’ve partnered with 17 cities to-date on pet licensing programs, helping to encourage pet owners to register their pets.   

Most recently, we’ve partnered with the City of Ottawa, committing $1,000,000 to reward responsible pet ownership in 2020. We’re pleased to provide pet parents with a $25 Ren’s Pets voucher when they register their dog or cat, or renew a registration, with the City of Ottawa. Pet parents can easily complete their furry friend’s registration or renewal online at MyServiceOttawa or in person at one of the City’s Client Service Centres. 

At Ren’s, we truly believe that pets are family, and pet registrations and responsible pet ownership help keep our four-legged family members safe. With more than 40,000 pets licensed in Ottawa, we’re proud to partner with the City on this exciting initiative and hope that it will encourage pet parents to register their pets in 2020. As we celebrate our 45th anniversary this year, we look forward to continuing to partner with even more communities to help every pet live its best life.
