Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo & Stratford-Perth Annual General Meeting

Here at Ren’s Pets, we strive to be the store of the community. Whether partnering with local humane societies, rescues or charities, Ren’s takes pride in working with organizations that are committed to bettering our communities and helping our furry friends. One of those organizations is the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society.

Running centres in Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford-Perth, the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo & Stratford-Perth is an independent charity dedicated to protecting pets and people. From rescuing and sheltering vulnerable animals to treating those that are injured and sick, the organization is dedicated to promoting animal welfare within its communities. With more than 1,600 adoptions facilitated last year alone, the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo & Stratford-Perth helps many animals find their forever homes.

Ren’s is proud to work with the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society, providing a $25 voucher for every dog license that is purchased online and a $25 voucher for every adoption. We’re also happy to continually support the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society’s various events by donating prizes and goodies.

Last night, a few of us from Ren’s had the pleasure of attending the Humane Society of Kitchener-Waterloo & Stratford-Perth’s annual general meeting. Held at the Stratford-Perth Humane Society, the meeting kicked off with a reception, allowing everyone to tour the building and learn more about the organization (and meet some adorable animals of course!) The meeting also included the election of the 2019-2020 Board of Directors and several awards handed out to volunteers and community partners.

Ren’s is honoured to have received the Builder Award of the Humane Society for 2018 in recognition of our work with the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society. The Builder Award recognizes “an individual, group or organization that has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to impacting society’s behavior, making our communities a better place for today and for the future.”

Our company is comprised of pet lovers who truly believe in the importance of community support and are passionate about strengthening our own. We are very grateful to have been recognized with this award and look forward to continuing our work with the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society to help our four-legged friends throughout 2019 and for many years to come.
