Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love™ Program

At Ren’s, we truly believe that pets are family and deserve the best care possible. We’re committed to providing pet parents and their beloved companions with high quality products and services and strive to be a part of the community. We take pride in partnering with vendors who share the same values, such as Hill’s® Science Diet® who aims to help enrich and lengthen the special relationships between people and their pets.

Since 2002, the Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love™ Program has provided over $290 million worth of Hill’s® brand pet foods to over 1,000 animal shelters. Active in six Canadian provinces and 50 U.S. states, the program helps feed homeless pets in over 800 North American shelters every day and has helped over 10 million pets find new homes!

Every shelter in the program receives Hill’s® pet food, primarily Science Diet, at a significant discount to help feed each dog and cat being housed. The program also provides enrolled shelters with free small bags of Hill’s® pet food for new pet parents to help ensure a smooth and easy transition for pets to their new home. New pet parents can also take advantage of Hill’s® New Pet Parent website that offers a variety of tips and tools to help give their pet the best start in life!

The goal of the Hill’s Food, Shelter & Love™ Program is simple: to provide dogs and cats with nutrition that will help make them healthy, happy and ready to join their forever home.  See the differences the biology-based nutrition of Hill’s® Science Diet® can make for dogs and cats of every age, size and need. Science is at the heart of how Hill’s® help pets live their best lives. From puppies and kittens to adult dogs and cats, they know no two pets are alike. Pets have different biological needs at different life stages, so they use cutting-edge food science to develop precisely-balanced nutrition for all stages of your pet's life. Hill’s® Science Diet® make scientifically-developed foods for the specific needs of healthy pets, like supporting mobility and joint health for dogs, helping cats prone to hairballs, and more. Along with expert care from shelter staff and volunteers, Hill’s® pet foods play a vital role in the ability of shelters to help pets find their forever homes.
