Cottage Life With Your Dog!

Now that summer is here, you may find yourself taking a trip to the cottage with your dog. To help you prepare for these trips, we have put together a list of items you need!

Having your dog in the car can sometimes be distracting! While some dogs are able to lay in the back seat quietly, others cannot. Either way, it is important to keep them safe and secure by investing in a seatbelt or barrier!

Once you’re at the cottage, you might not have a fully secure area for your dog to spend time in! If you’re worried about your dog roaming around without a fully fenced area, a tie out or exercise pen is the perfect solution to ease your mind!

If you’re headed to a cottage on the waterfront, and you’re not sure how your dog will react to the water, safety should be a priority! Make sure you bring a properly fitted life jacket to help you pooch float around with you! If your dog loves the water, there are a variety of water toys you can use to keep your dog cool at the cottage!

You may not want to bring a large bag of dog food up to the cottage with you, you can always get a smaller bag of the same food your dog eats, or use an airtight container to pack up the exact number of meals you need!

When it comes time to pack up and leave the cottage, make sure you clean up after yourself and your dog!

Enjoy the best days of summer with your dog!
