Ren & Sharon

Ren’s started off as a farm & feed store in 1976 and it slowly developed to a destination pet store on the outskirts of town. They have proudly watched their youngest son take over and drive the business to a whole new level. Ren and Sharon were able to retire early and spend most of the winter in Florida. The rest of the year, they enjoy their 3 grandchildren and all their grand dogs & cats!

Colin

Colin took the reins of the family business in 1998 and has expanded the company from its original 1 retail location in Oakville to to 4, a full distribution center, full coast-to-coast website and a mail-order catalogue. Colin is constantly on the go finding new ways to grow and expand the business making Ren’s Canada’s largest independent pet store. When he’s not working, you can find him out on the snowmobile trails or on the dock relaxing with his dog Stella by his side.

Terina

Terina has worked for Ren’s for 15 years and her role is constantly diversifying, something she truly enjoys. From starting as a cashier in the retail store, she is now Special Projects Manager which entails a lot of behind the scenes work, including reports and super exciting spreadsheets! Her dog, Pixie, also gets to come to work every day and has a fantastic time entertaining all the staff, when she’s not napping from bugging everyone all day!

Scott

Scott has worked in many marketing and entrepreneurial roles. As V.P.of Sales and Operations, his main focus is to get the message of "best prices, best selection" to as many people as possible. He's either working or at one of his three children's rep sports events. His dog, Faith, loves Flossy's and any plush toy she can sink her teeth into. Her favourite is a plush reindeer from Christmas that goes everywhere with her.

Joe

Joe is both VP and CFO at Ren's, making sure everything of a financial nature is ticking smoothly, soundly and successfully. A calm and quiet soul, Joe keeps the office feeling lovely as he can be found whistling various tunes through-out the day.

Trevor

As the manager of Marketing and E-Commerce, Trevor makes all things renspets.com tick. He's driven to make sure that all the loveable pets who shop at Ren's lead long, happy & healthy lives. Trevor, a University of Toronto graduate, recently adopted an ex-racing greyhound named Toto, who is one hilarious, mouth-breathing dude! Toto's hobbies include chewing on his KONG Wubba & freaking out over OMH P-Nuttier Biscuits. This bodacious greyhound also enjoys being an environmentally responsible pooper by using Earth Rated's Poop Bags.

Ryan

Ryan has seen Ren’s through almost a decade of growth and expansion. He started in Oakville, selling on the retail floor, lugging bags in the warehouse and delivering to our faithful customers. Throughout the years, Ryan had taken on numerous roles such as Wholesale Representative, Purchasing Manager and Warehouse Manager. Ryan’s right hand man, Niko - a brindle coloured Boxer, can often be found at the office either sleeping on his Bowser bed (fit for a king) or playing with his tricky treat ball full of Charlie Bear snack.

Erika

Erika joined Ren's marketing team as an additional graphic designer after graduating from Fanshawe last year, though her work focuses mainly on web. Most days, you can find Erika lost in “spreadsheet world”, updating or adding new products to the website. The “Khaos” in her life is a German shepherd/Husky who loves to play any number of chew toys from Ren’s.

Sam

Sam is new to the Ren’s team, but not new to all things canine! She is the most recent addition to the young & hip marketing team as their merchandising specialist, tackling website content like her pups tackle her for Celebrity Chicken Strips! She currently has five furry siblings, two of which use their unique product-testing talents to write for the Ren’s blog... While Sam utilizes her own dog showing, golden retriever breeding, pet food industry training, education, (deep breath!) and general passion for pets to build renspets.com into the ultimate go-to website!

Sue

Sue has been at Ren’s for 11 great years and seen a number of changes and many improvements in that time. Starting in the Oakville store as a sales associate and trying a few office positions on for size, she has found her niche looking after wholesale accounts and specialty feeds. Need Monkey chow? Just ask! When not at Ren’s, she is kept busy at home with her husband, two boys and four rescue dogs. Camping in the summer and baking cookies year round to keep up with the demand, she mostly enjoys a long hike with the dogs or a game of Frisbee with Tippianna in the park.

Lynda

Lynda is our master gatekeeper. No one enters head office without her lowering the bridge. She keeps things ticking with all things administrative, supporting the staff and keeping things lively and fun with her boisterous laugh.

Terra

Terra is an accounting wizard. She is the one behind the scenes making sure everything is balanced and up to date. When Terra is not at work, she is at home with her 3 year old Lab/Collie cross Bou. Bou loves her Wellness Wellbar Bites especially when they are hidden around the house. Terra also has three pet turtles that are 20 years old.

Lorraine

Lorraine has been with the Ren's team since 2008 working in Accounts Payable and Payroll, which means everyone loves her since she's the reason everyone gets paid! Lorraine has a faithful kitty at home who loves KONG Catnip and pretty much any KONG cat toy known to mankind.

Brigitte

Brigitte has been a part of Ren's Pets Depot for over 5 years. Brigitte began as a bilingual rep in the mail-order department, taking phone orders and making product suggestions. Equipped with superior product knowledge, Brigitte took on some purchasing responsibilities and has now worked her way up to Head Purchaser. When Brigitte is not searching out the latest and greatest pet products she is usually testing them with Lola.

Michelle

Michelle is a new addition to Ren's in the purchasing department and has a wealth of information to bring. Holding a MSc. in Animal Nutrition and Behaviour from the University of Guelph, Michelle just *knows* animals. She's been involved in dog training and shows, as well as horseback riding for almost 15 years and is the proud owner of 2 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats! On top of that, she finds time to compete with her horses and gets involved in various sports with her dogs.

Dianne

Dianne is a Senior Customer Service Representative and has been with Ren’s since July 2004. She's been with Ren’s since the beginning of the mail order department and has seen that side of the business grow in leaps and bounds. As the first bilingual CSR, Dianne has quite a fan base in Quebec. Dianne has 2 cats at home. Pebbles is part Maine Coon and Cody is a long haired domestic. She keeps her cats looking beautiful by combing them with a ComfyCare comb and using Groomers Edge Solution for detangling and conditioning.

Anj

Anj came to Ren’s from the Pet Supply House and has an extensive background in the pet industry. She is one of our customer service representatives and can gladly help you in both English and French. When not at Ren’s, she enjoys spending time playing with her son.

Maria

Maria has been with the Ren's for over 4 years and is a recent graduate from the University of Windsor. Maria's energy and expertise makes her an amazing addition to the customer service department where she handles the majority of web orders and inquiries. The loves of her life are her fur babies - her Boxer, Vixen and her Bulldog, Brutus who both just turned 4! Vixen adores her Plush Puppies Invicibles Green Snake and Brutus is a fan of the Plush Chicken Henrietta.

Amanda

Amanda runs our Breeder Program out of our Oakville location. Amanda corresponds with breeders all across Canada as a liaison between the breeders and the stores. She takes breeders orders and works our dog show booth at shows across Ontario. Her Puppy Referral Program makes it easy for first time puppy owners to come to Ren's to get exactly what they need. When not at work, Amanda has bred and shown Rough Collies in conformation for the past 17 years.

Wally

Wally is the store manager of our Oakville location and has been with the Ren's team for over 3 years. The list of his responsibilities is endless; from general managerial duties, to coaching and motivating our staff to do what they do best - provide great customer service! When not leading his team, Wally enjoys time with his family which has multiple "four-legged" members - from dogs to reptiles. His dogs especially enjoy snacking on the various goodies found in the Merrick Hungry Dog Variety Pack!

Head Office Warehouse

We've got the hardest working, most dedicated and friendly warehouse staff in the entire world - it's not even debatable! Our guys and gals have a wealth of experience and knowledge and are the ones responsible for getting stores stocked, product shipped to web & wholesale customers and so, so much more. The team keeps growing as Ren's grows, and we've got the best foundation to expand on!

Cam

Carolyn

Carolyn recently graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Animal Biology and has now just joined the Floor Associate team at Ren’s Pets Depot. She helps with cash, cleaning, facing, greeting customers, as well as helping others where ever she can in the store. When Carolyn is not working or riding her horse, she loves spending time with her two dogs back at home. She has a Golden Retriever named Gibbs and a Siberian Husky named Emerie. Gibbs loves playing with his Skinneeez while Emerie loves eating his Beef Jerky.

Bailey

Bailey originally joined the Ren's team as a full-time sales associate with the experience she gained from that and personal perseverance she now is in charge of Operations at our Oakville location. Bailey acts as the liaison between the store, warehouse and purchasers, and insures the accuracy of our out of stock items. In her down time she is a loving mom to "Raven a Miniature Poodle, "Zippy" Border Collie X and "Arwen" a Sun Conure. Both Raven and Zippy thoroughly enjoy napping in their Bowser beds on lazy afternoons.

Laura

Laura has been with Ren's for over two years. She joined the team in 2010 as a Floor Associate in the Guelph store and her organizational skills, product knowledge and customer service skills were recognized by management and she was promoted to Assistant Manager in Kitchener. Since then, her hard work and dedication has allowed her to continue to grow with the company to become Manager of the Kitchener store. When not at work, she’s at home playing and competing with her Golden Retriever Cali (and we can’t forget her cat Meeka too)

Jen

After joining the Ren's team late 2011, Jen has made herself right at home. Taking Animal Care in college was no surprise to her friends and family as she's always been around and adored any animal that came into her life. She's made a huge impact as a floor associate with her constant upbeat attitude and extensive product knowledge. When she's at home, you can normally find her and her 2 "adorable little brats" as she refers to them, Kyra and Rayne - Lab / Springer Spaniel / American Eskimo mixes - at the dog park or the baseball diamond. They can't wait for when their mom leaves for work in the morning because that means they get their frozen KONG's and when she gets home they love getting their bullwrinkles!
